Toyota unveils 3 series of Lexus brand for Japan

TOKYO July 26, 2005; Japan Today reported that Toyota Motor Corp. took the wraps off three Lexus-brand luxury cars for sale in the Japanese market starting in late August.

This is the first time for Toyota to use the Lexus brand, which was launched in the North American market in 1989, in Japan. Some Lexus brand cars are sold in Japan under the Celsior marque. (Kyodo News)
