SBORO LEADS NORTHEAST FORD FOCUS MIDGETS TO SEEKONK AFTER WIN AT OSWEGO

The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget Car Series will buckle up and race for
the second straight weekend, this time Friday at Adirondack International
Speedway in Lowville, N.Y.

The points tightened up after last Wednesday’s 25-lap feature at Seekonk
Speedway in Seekonk, Mass., won by teenager Jeff Abold of Oswego, N.Y. Abold
scored his first career USAC victory at the track, leading the final 18 laps
after passing Nick Wean on Lap 8. Wean, Brit Andersen, Aaron Wall and
Michael Sboro rounded out the Top 5.

Wean, who led the opening seven laps, closed to within two points of Sboro
in the series standings.

The 1/3-mile paved AIS will host its first USAC Ford Focus race after its
first date (June 11) was rained out.
