WESTERN MIDGETS GEAR UP FOR LINCOLN & BELLEVILLE TYLER BROWN
TAKES VENTURA 20-LAPPER

USAC's Western Midget Car Series is preparing for late-July
races in Lincoln, Neb. and Belleville, Kan. following Tyler Brown's victory
in Saturday night's 20-lapper at the Ventura (Calif.) Raceway.
Brown caught Jerome Rodela on lap 16 at Ventura and led the
final five laps to post the win over Ryan Kaplan, Rodela, Wally Pankratz
and fast qualifier Garrett Hansen. The win boosted Brown to fourth in the
new standings.
Series point leader Robby Flock was a disappointing 18th at
Ventura but is looking forward to the annual Lincoln and Belleville trek.
The Nebraska and Kansas races are National and Western point races. Flock's
point lead over Hansen stands at 55, with Rodela just three back of Hansen.
