Navistar to Release Fiscal 2005 Third Quarter Financial Results on Wednesday, September 7

WARRENVILLE, Ill.--July 18, 2005--Navistar International Corporation , the nation's largest combined commercial truck, school bus and mid-range diesel engine producer, announced today that it will release financial results for its fiscal 2005 third quarter, ended July 31, 2005, on Wednesday, September 7, 2005. A news release will be issued prior to NYSE market opening and will be followed by a quarterly conference call at 11:00 am ET, 10:00 am CT. Speakers on the call will be Daniel C. Ustian, chairman, president and chief executive officer and Robert C. Lannert, vice chairman and chief financial officer.

The conference call will be available via webcast from the investor relations section of Navistar's web site at http://www.nav-international.com/. Investors are advised to log on to the web site at least 15 minutes prior to the call to allow sufficient time for downloading any necessary software. Supplemental financial and statistical information specific to third quarter results will also be available to investors in the investor relations section prior to the start of the call. The web cast will be available for replay at the same address approximately two hours following its conclusion.

In order to allow Navistar and related parties more time to prepare and review quarterly results, the Company has decided to begin releasing quarterly results later than it has traditionally released in the past.
