UMRA TQ MIDGETS
FRIDAY - JULY 22
O'Neal Wood Products/Monroe County Pizza Dept. Modifieds
Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks
BLOOMINGTON, IN (July 17, 2005) - Bloomington Speedway will host another night of exciting racing action on Friday, July 22. The evening's racing will feature UMRA TQ Midgets, O'Neal Wood Products/Monroe County Pizza Dept. Modifieds, and Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks.
The UMRA TQ Midget series is one of the most competitive racing series in the nation. Some of its competitors are seasoned veterans who have raced the TQ's for decades. These guys love the cars and love the tough competition that they find in them every time they unload. There are also rookie drivers who are racing the TQ's as a step toward racing a sprint car, a stock car, or even an Indy Car. Whatever their long-term goals may be, their immediate goals are all the same - reaching the checkered flag before their fellows. Watching them race for their goal is what makes this series so popular wherever they race.
Bloomington Speedway is one of the longest track on which UMRA competes; and it will almost certainly be as well prepared as any they've ever seen. They can be expected to rise to the occasion and present a great show for the fans
Of course we will also have a full program of both O'Neal Wood Products/Monroe County Pizza Dept. modifieds and Tire and Wheel Center super stocks. While these two classes usually don't get nearly as much attention as they deserve, Bloomington Speedway regulars know what great races these guys put on. They are in the heart of their season; and they all have one eye on the points standings. They will all be doing everything in their power to finish in front Friday night.
Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM, the grandstand gates will open at 5:30 PM, hot laps will start at 6:30 PM, and racing will begin at 7:30 PM. General admission is $10 for this event (children are admitted free to the grandstand when accompanied by a paying adult); and pit admission is $20. Coolers are permitted; but glass containers aren't. Overnight camping is also permitted.

City of Bloomington Employees Night
Sprint Cars - O'Neal Wood Products/Monroe County Pizza Dept Modifieds - Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks
BLOOMINGTON, IN (July 17) - On July 29, the City of Bloomington's employees will be joining us for an evening of the best racing anywhere.
With the problems that we've had with the weatherman each program each program takes on added importance where the point races are concerned. All of the competitors will be pulling out all of the stops each Friday night not only for that night's prize money but also to improve their share of the big year end prize fund.
In addition to sprint cars, we will have the O'Neal Wood Products/Monroe County Pizza Dept. modifieds and the Tire & Wheel Center super stocks In competition.
Some of the best racers anywhere compete just about every Friday night on the red clay of Bloomington Speedway, The points leaders now are Jon Sciscoe, Jesse Cramer, and Danny Harris. However, the points races are all tight; and they'll all be up for grabs when the gates open on June 17.
Bloomington Speedway will feature sprint cars, O'Neal Wood Products/Monroe County Pizza Dept. modifieds, and Tire and Wheel Center super stocks. All three classes typically show up in force every Friday night. The full pits that are a trademark of Bloomington Speedway insure a lot of racing. A typical program includes 12 heat races, 3 B features, and 3 features. At some tracks, a program like that could run to the wee hours of the morning. However, Mike Miles and his able staff do everything in their power to keep the program moving. And, the competitors know that when it's their time to race, they'd better be in the staging area and ready to go. Consequently, most are there when they need to be.
