Cruz Pedregon Bandimere Wrap Up
 
MORRISON, Colo. (July 17, 2005) ­ Advance Auto Parts driver Cruz Pedregon
fell in the first round of eliminations during todayıs Mopar Mile-High NHRA
Nationals at Bandimere Speedway.

It was a close match, as Pedregon posted a 5.142-second elapsed time 286.13
mph, but it wasnıt enough to outrun Gary Scelziıs 5.023-second lap at 297.22
mph. 

³We struggled a little bit,² Pedregon said. ³Itıs hard to adjust here in the
thinner air and we were chasing it all weekend. We are on the ragged edge,
and the tune-ups are so close, that we were hurting some equipment this
weekend.

³Every team goes through weekendıs like this, though,² Pedregon added. ³This
team is too good and weıll come back strong in Seattle next weekend. Iıve
been around this sport long enough to know that all you need is one run to
get back on a roll.²
