Green finishes 27th in New England 200

Louden, N.H. – Mark Green finished 27th in the New England 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway on Saturday.

Green started in 38th position and remained competitive throughout the day, never falling off of the lead lap on the one mile oval.

“I had a pretty good car today,” said Green. “We had to make some handling adjustments throughout the race but we expected that. The track was so different than during qualifying I’m sure everyone had to make changes.”

Green also managed to avoid several accidents, including two that happened directly in front of him during the race.

“Sometimes it helps to be a little lucky,” said Green. “A couple of those wrecks just appeared directly in front of me but thankfully I was able to get out of the way.”

Martin Truex took the lead late in the race and held off Carl Edwards in a green-white-checkered finish. Green’s teammate, Kim Crosby, was unable to qualify in a back-up car.
