Classic Car Club Peels Out of UK, Rolls into America
Speed Thrills for Manhattan Autophiles and Gear Heads
NEW YORK--July 13, 2005--The Classic Car Club Manhattan, a members-only group for men and women who love to drive phenomenal cars, opened its doors today in Manhattan. The first US offshoot of the famous (and infamous) U.K. organization, Classic Car Club Manhattan merges a passion for cars with an exclusive clubhouse that members can call their own. The club covers all maintenance, storage and insurance fees, leaving members with no responsibilities other than enjoying the ride and filling the tank.
Classic Car Club is the first private club of its kind to come about in Europe or the US. Privileged members of Classic Car Club Manhattan are free to select rides from the club's outrageous range of automotive wonders, including its 1977 Aston Martin V8, 1965 AC Shelby Cobra, 1980 308 Ferrari, 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi and many others. In addition to automotive access and full clubroom facilities, members also enjoy club events, including track days at Lime Rock Raceway, club rally days and assorted types of automotive mischief.
What is the Classic Car Club?
Bringing New Yorkers the same passion and convenience it's delivered to drivers in the U.K. for the last decade, the Classic Car Club lets members impress dates in a vintage Aston Martin, cruise the Hamptons in a high vintage Ferrari or tear up the West Side Highway in an thundering Dodge Super Bee. An allocation of points can be exchanged throughout the year for dozens of driving days with any of the Club's classic sports, luxury and touring machines without forcing members to endure the logistical drawbacks of actually purchasing, maintaining, insuring and garaging a single car themselves.
Fully stocked with an autophiles' fantasy garage of professionally maintained Italian sports cars, British roadsters, American muscle and grand touring cars, this club is reserved for men and women who love cool cars, high speeds and ear-shattering roar of a 396 Chevy Big Block.
What isn't the Classic Car Club?
The Classic Car Club is not for the faint of heart, those looking for a one-off rental car, drivers who don't know the difference between a Cobra and a Viper or those who think beautiful classic cars are for waxing instead of driving.
Complete Club Fleet.
Today, the Classic Car Club offers its members the following cars - new additions are made regularly:
