Infineon Raceway Hosts Benefit
Motorcycle Day for Vincent Haskovec
SONOMA, Calif. (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - Infineon Raceway will be the site
for an open motorcycle day on Saturday, July 23, with all proceeds
benefiting injured AMA rider Vincent Haskovec.
Haskovec, who rides for Team M4 EMGO Suzuki, sustained injuries during
the Kawasaki AMA Superbike Showdown weekend at Infineon Raceway in May
and is currently being treated at Santa Clara Medical Center in the
South Bay. His injuries include paralysis below the chest.
The "3Js Motorcycle Day" is being hosted by Jere Starks, vice president
of facilities at Infineon Raceway, and avid motorcyclists Jay Brosius
and Jim Randolph. The day will include a full day of on-track riding,
commemorative T-shirt, catered lunch and a raffle. Cost is $300 per
person, with all proceeds going to Haskovec. Officials hope to raise
more than $30,000 from the event.
