Car Dealer Confirmed as U.S. Ambassador to Court of St. James

SACRAMENTO, Calif., July 12 -- The California Motor Car Dealers Association (CMCDA) announced today that car dealer member Robert H. Tuttle was confirmed by the U.S. Senate last week as Ambassador of the United States to Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Last month, Mr. Tuttle was appointed to the Court of St. James by President Bush.

"We know Bob Tuttle will do a great job representing our country's interests in Europe," said Peter Welch, CMCDA president. "He is a sterling example of a dealer that has not only earned the trust and loyalty of his franchisors, employees and customers, but also his government."

Over the years Mr. Tuttle has been an active member in CMCDA. He currently serves as Co-Managing Partner of Tuttle-Click Automotive Group, one of the largest dealers in America. He previously served as Assistant to the President and Director for Presidential Personnel to President Ronald Reagan.
