Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. Files Patent Application for Its New Nano-Lithium-Ion Battery

NEW YORK, July 11 -- Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ABAT) , a developer and manufacturer of rechargeable Polymer-Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries, today announced that it has filed a patent application for its Nano-Lithium-Ion (NLI) battery.

ABAT has been developing a new PLI battery using Lithium Titanate Spinel Electrode Nanomaterials provided by Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. . ABAT has developed a method for incorporating the nanomaterials into is PLI battery that is included in its patent application. "We've been very pleased with the performance enhancement using nanomaterials, and we wanted to move quickly to apply for patent protection for our new battery," commented Mr. Zhiguo Fu, Chairman of ABAT.
