Exide Renews Contract with Largest Automotive Aftermarket Supplier in Australia and New Zealand

ALPHARETTA, Ga.--July 8, 2005--Exide Technologies (www.exide.com), a global leader in stored electrical-energy solutions, announced today that the Company has renewed its battery supply agreement with Repco Limited for an additional two-year period in Australia and New Zealand.

Repco is the largest supplier of parts to the automotive aftermarket in Australia and New Zealand, with more than 430 locations.
