Ford Fusion's World Premiere at Kentucky Speedway

  * July 16: More Than 3,500 Area Race Fans Will Be the First
to Drive Ford's Most Important Mid-Size Car in 20 Years

  * Attendees Can Also Put the Hot Mustang GT Through Its Paces

WHAT: More than 3,500 area racing fans and consumers will play out their NASCAR fantasies (at no charge) at the Kentucky Speedway track in the world driving premiere of the 2006 Ford Fusion, several months before the release of the company's most important mid-size car in 20 years.

There will also be on-track test drives of the hot new Mustang GT and other Ford vehicles; an elaborate racing display; an appearance by NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Terry Cook; and the first public viewing of the new Ford racecar that its NASCAR drivers will be driving in the 2006 season. (The model will be announced on July 14 in Charlotte and the only show model will be immediately transported to Kentucky Speedway.)

WHEN/WHERE: The public event is Saturday, July 16, 2005
               Kentucky Speedway
               4760 Sparta Pike
               Sparta, KY
               8 a.m.-5 p.m.

DETAILS: Executives from Ford Motor Company and Ford Racing in Dearborn, MI, will be on hand to answer questions on a variety of topics, including:

* How Fusion will have a high-stakes impact on Ford Motor Company, including employees in the heavy Ford plant states of Ohio and Kentucky.

* Why holding advance public test drives at popular venues is worth more than a thousand advertising words -- 10 times more effective than conventional direct mail.

* How Ford's NASCAR involvement sells cars.

* Why Fusion will be the most affordable mid-size car in the industry, yet unlike its "vanilla" competition, it will have the swagger and performance of a "driver's car."
