Crosby hopes to build on Daytona success
Eddyville, Ky. – After a very successful debut for Keith Coleman Racing in the last weekend, Kim Crosby’s next challenge will be the USG Durock 300 on Saturday. Crosby is one of 23 drivers attempting to qualify on time for the event.
Crosby finished 28th in the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway. After an early tire problem cost her a couple of laps, Crosby ran well the rest of the race. By the end of the race she was running comfortably with the leaders in terms of speed and even posted some of the fastest lap times on occasion.
“It was great to be back on the track, especially since it was my first Busch Series race at Daytona,” said Crosby. “Unfortunately we got a little behind early but I feel pretty confident about the equipment after seeing what kind of lap times we were turning at the end of the race.”
Crosby will be driving the same car driven by teammate Mark Green in the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 in Phoenix earlier this year. Green qualified 27th and was able to bring the car to a 22nd place finish.
The only practice will be held on Friday morning at 9 a.m. central time. Qualifying follows at 5:05 p.m. and will air on Speed. The race will be air on NBC at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
