Chrysler to offer employee pricing program on July 6

SAN FRANCISCO July 5, 2005; Shawn Langlois writing for MarketWatch reported that Chrysler, following rival General Motors' report of a 41% sales surge in June, said Friday it will offer consumers an employee pricing plan beginning July 6. Mercedes-Benz, DaimlerChrysler's luxury line, will not be included in the program. The details of the deal will be made next week when the program starts. A Chrysler spokesman said that some customers will already be able to get employee level pricing on most vehicles this weekend under current incentive programs. Ahead of the announcement, DaimlerChrysler turned in a 5% jump in June U.S. sales.
