MIDWEST, CAROLINA/VIRGINIA FORD FOCUS TO COMPETE SATURDAY AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY; PARIS EARNS FIRST WIN

The eyes of USAC Ford Focus Midget Car Series racing will be focused
Saturday on Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Ky. as the Midwest and
Carolina/Virginia regions compete on the quarter-mile track prior to the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

Tate Martz of Rushville, Ind. will lead the Midwest contingent to the
event – sponsored by Team Ford Racing – while Chase Scott of Concord, N.C.
will lead Carolina/Virginia competitors to the track.

Martz leads Stephanie Mockler by 75 points following his third-place finish
Friday at Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway, which was won by Brad Paris. Paris,
driving the No. 41 Cometic Gaskets Beast/Ford Focus, led the opening two
laps and the final 17 of the 30-lapper for his first career series victory.
The win came in Paris’ first start since the 2003 season.

Trailing Paris were Jimmy Light, Martz, Tony Main and Brandon Wagner.
