WESTERN MIDGETS AT BAKERSFIELD SPEEDWAY SATURDAY LEWIS TAKES PPIR FEATURE

             Robby Flock of Murietta, Calif. continues to lead the USAC 
Western Midget Car standings going into this Saturday night's races at the 
Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway. He has a 74-point lead over Garrett Hansen.

             Neither Flock nor Hansen were able to finish Sunday's "Rocky 
Mountain Classic" 30-miler at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, 
Colo.

             Michael Lewis of Noblesville, Ind. won Sunday's PPIR main 
event, beating teammate Bobby Santos III, Aaron Fike, Ron Gregory and Tracy 
Hines. Santos was Sunday's fastest qualifier. Feature lap leaders included 
Billy Wease, Santos and Lewis, who led the final 14 laps after passing Wease.
