Remote Area Medical #7 GTO Lime Rock Race Report

Osborn Finishes 20th in World Challenge New England GT Grand Prix

Lakeville, Conn. – July 2, 2005 Jim Osborn finished 20th in #7 Remote
Area Medical GTO today in the SPEED World Challenge GT race at Lime
Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut. Osborn retired from the race
early when his engine let go.
“I’m not sure what happened,” commented Osborn. “I was having a
pretty good run with a group toward the back of the field. The car
was handling really well. I’m pretty sure I could have made a pass on
a few of the guys I was running with, but sticking with our plan, I
was content to run with them and keep building up our seat time.”

“Stu (Hayner) and I are spending more time together and he’s helping
me a lot to understand the car’s handling characteristics. I’ll tell
you, it is really dialed in. The car is just a blast to drive. I’m
kind of disappointed that we didn’t get to finish… things were really
going well. I’m not sure what happened… we’ll take a look back at the
shop.”

Earlier in the week, Osborn took time out to visit and have dinner
with kids at Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall camp, a not-for-profit
organization totally supported by charitable contributions. Hole in
the Wall Camps are the dream of actor Paul Newman, who started the
first camp in 1988 and has been the driving force ever since. Osborn
and his Chili Pepper Racing team have campaigned with the slogan
‘Racing for the Health of it’ supporting the T.C. Thompson Children’s
Hospital and raising funds for the Lighthouse Family Retreat.

The SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge races will air Sunday, July
