Hayner Finishes Fourth at Lime Rock
GMAC / Trenton Forging #5 GTO Lime Rock Race Report
Hayner finishes fourth at New England Grand Prix
Lakeville, Conn – July 2, 2005 After starting 6th for the SPEED
World Challenge New England GT Grand Prix, Stu Hayner finished fourth
in the #5 GMAC Commercial Finance / Trenton Forging GTO. The SPEED
World Challenge Series is running as part of the ALMS New England
Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park, in Connecticut.
His fourth place finish backs up the teams fifth place finish at last
weeks Grand Prix of Cleveland. Hayner was extremely pleased with the
car and the day’s results.
“That was fun,” Hayner exclaimed. “I don’t remember the last time I
drove a car that felt and handled that well. I could pretty much go
wherever I needed. For a while there I was running with Max (Papis),
I really felt I could get around him. I’d catch him at the base of
the Downhill Turn (#10) but we’re still a bit down on power… I just
didn’t have enough to get after him on the front straight.”
“I can’t get over how well the development of our 2005 program has
come along,” Hayner continued. “It’s a great feeling for everyone on
the team when you can see the effort and hard work paying off week
after week. We’ve got a “never-say-die” bunch at Autosport
Development and I’m proud to be associated with them all.”
The SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge races will air Sunday, July
3rd at 4pm followed by the GT race at 5pm, both on SPEED.
The series will move on to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California,
July 15-17 with the American Le Mans Series.

GT Series. All events are nationally televised on SPEED channel
(formerly Speedvision). In 2005 the SPEED World Challenge Series
schedule will include street races in Denver and St. Petersburg, and
