Look for 'New to the Aftermarket' Parts in the 2005 Dorman-HELP! Service Dealer Guide
COLMAR, Pa., June 29 -- Motormite/Dorman announced today the distribution of more than 725,000 of their 2005 Service Dealer Guides to Parts Stores and Independent Service Dealers throughout North America. This is part of the company's strategic plan to increase awareness of their "New to the Aftermarket" products and innovative repair solutions.
The guide consists of more than 20 pages of new to the aftermarket product lines, including 100% NEW Brake Caliper Assemblies, Air Bag Clock Springs, Air Intake Hoses, and an innovative Fuel Line Repair Kit that allows a Service Dealer to repair or replicate entire fuel lines, saving them hours of labor time. Many other products featured in the Guide are "Dorman Engineered" to be better than the original equipment version, and include ancillary parts that save the Service Dealer valuable bay time by not having to wait for a separate delivery.
Cathy Lester, Director of Trade Marketing for Motormite/Dorman said, "Our goal is to grow awareness of our product offerings and repair alternatives, and in turn, have the Service Dealer think of their Aftermarket supplier first before calling the OE Dealer." "This is our big push every year," said Bill Hanvey, VP Marketing. "We have gotten to the point where our customers and the Service Dealers are asking when the next issue is due." Hanvey continued by saying, "We have proven to our customers that the Service Dealer Guide makes the phone ring. The key is making sure that our distributors have the part in stock to fulfill that phone call."
The initial distribution of the Service Dealer Guide began when more than 55,000 copies were sent to parts stores poly-bagged with the June issue of Counterman magazine. The timed release will continue as 155,000 copies arrive at independent Service Dealers poly-bagged to the back cover of Brake and Front End, ImportCar, Underhood, Tire Review, and Tomorrow's Technician magazines. In addition to those copies direct-mailed through these magazines, the remainder of the guides are being distributed to Service Dealers by America's leading parts stores throughout the summer.
Additional copies of the Service Dealer Guide are available by e-mailing your request to stormfront@rbinc.com. An electronic version of the Service Dealer Guide can be found at http://www.motormitedorman.com/servicedealerguide.shtml.
