NAVTEQ Maps for New Mobile Navigation Module

Nokia Wireless GPS Module Upgrades to NAVTEQ Digital Map Data

CHICAGO, June 29 -- NAVTEQ , a leading global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, will now supply map data for the Nokia Wireless GPS Module LD-1W.

The Nokia Wireless GPS Module, which connects to compatible mobile phones, PC's or PDA's using Bluetooth has been upgraded to now feature NAVTEQ maps. NAVTEQ maps are recognized as premier digital navigation maps used in the vast majority of in-vehicle navigation systems in Europe. The new Nokia product release leverages NAVTEQ maps in a number of applications to retrieve navigation and location information, which enable users to find the shortest route to a destination or places of interest such as hotels, gas stations and airports.

This new release of the product is launching this month in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Benelux Countries, Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

A map display on the Nokia phone screen and accompanying voice instructions route users from one destination to another. The destination address is simply entered on the phone keypad.
