Amerityre's Full-size Non-pneumatic Temporary Passenger Tire Passes Testing

BOULDER CITY, Nev., June 29 -- Amerityre Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: AMTY) announced today that its full-size non-pneumatic [no-air] passenger car tire has passed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 129 testing. In April 2005, Amerityre announced that non-pneumatic tires for compact and mid-sized vehicles had passed the same standard. The prototype tires, made from a proprietary polyurethane compound, have been developed by Amerityre for prospective use as temporary/spare passenger car tires and do not require air to operate.

"The tires are now eligible for use as spare tires on about 90% of all passenger cars produced each year" according to Richard Steinke, Amerityre's President and CEO. "One of our goals was to have a polyurethane car tire product ready to commercialize this year," Steinke added. "We have successfully tested multiple designs of the temporary tires and we're currently working with a couple of automobile manufacturers to begin qualifying the tires as original equipment 'spare' tires."

Amerityre intends to make its technology available to automotive companies throughout the World and is currently exploring the possibilities of manufacturing the tires or licensing others with manufacturing rights. Amerityre believes the innovative temporary/spare tires will offer car owners better performance than comparable pneumatic spare tires, as well as providing the security of knowing that the spare tire will always be ready in the event of a tire failure.
