BMAR says ‘Thank You’ to U. S. Military
Eddyville, Ky. – As a ‘Salute to Our Troops’, BMAR has announced a primary sponsorship agreement with Keith Coleman Racing for the #26 Chevrolet.
The car will feature the insignias of the U. S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard on the hood and lower-rear quarter panels. A message of support and encouragement will also adorn the hood, lower-rear quarter panels and TV panel.
“We felt this was a great opportunity for us to say ‘thank you’ to the men and women in our military,” said Chris Hamby, Vice President of Operations. “At a time when a large number of soldiers are either already in Iraq or on their way there, we wanted to show them how much we appreciate what they do for us every day.”
A Hopkinsville, Ky. based company, BMAR derives the bulk of their business from military construction projects and employs more than 1,400 people worldwide. The company currently has projects under construction in Iraq, Egypt and various other countries as well as the construction of military housing and other base improvements both at home and abroad.
Hamby said the timing was an important part of the sponsorship.
“The Winn-Dixie 250 is one of the biggest races of the year and since this is Independence weekend we knew it would be a great time to give the troops the recognition they deserve.”
Behind the wheel of the BMAR #26 Salute Our Troops Chevrolet will be Kim Crosby. She will be making her third start of the season and her eighth career Nascar Busch Series start.
“I’m really excited to be involved with this,” said Keith Coleman, team owner. “These troops are the backbone of our country and they should know how much we appreciate them. To be a part of something like this is a special opportunity for the entire team.”
