Fitch Upgrades 2 AmeriCredit Automobile Receivables Trust 2001-1 Notes
NEW YORK--June 24, 2005--Fitch Ratings upgrades 2 classes of the AmeriCredit Automobile Receivables Trust 2001-1 asset-backed notes transaction, as follows:-- Class C to 'AAA' from 'AA+;
-- Class D to 'AAA' from 'A'.
The rating upgrades are a result of increased available credit enhancement (CE) in excess of expected remaining losses. Under the CE structure, the bonds can now withstand stress scenarios consistent with the upgraded ratings and still make full payments of principal and interest in accordance with the transaction documents. As before, the ratings reflect the strength of AmeriCredit Financial Services, Inc. as an originator and servicer of receivables and the legal structure of the transactions.
Fitch's rating definitions are available on the agency's public web site, www.fitchratings.com. Published ratings, criteria and methodologies and relevant policies and procedures are also available from this site, at all times. This document will remain on the public site for seven days.
