Bombardier Teams with Formula Palmer Audi to Support Budding Champion
LONDON--June 23, 2005--Bombardier today was named lead sponsor of David Epton's Formula Palmer Audi team, officially marking the extension of its Bombardier Racing motor sport program into Europe.For over three years, Bombardier Racing has linked the speed and performance of the legendary Bombardier Learjet brand to winning motor sport teams and world-class motor sport events. Currently ranked second on the driver's league table, David Epton is already creating a buzz on the Formula Palmer Audi circuit - widely recognized as a testing ground for emerging Formula 1 racing car drivers - and is a front-runner to win the season.
A talented young driver who has raced since 14, Epton gained experience in several racing divisions over the last few seasons and has his sights firmly set on Formula 1. Well-versed in business aviation - he currently works for BAE Systems and his father is a private jet pilot - David is delighted that Bombardier is joining his team.
