MADISON, Ill. (June 22, 2005) ­

 
* Tony Pedregon, the ŒQ¹ Racing driver, will participate this weekend in the
ninth annual Sears Craftsman NHRA Nationals. The 2003 Funny Car champion and
his ŒQ¹ Racing Nitro Funny Car head to Gateway International Raceway for the
12th race of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series schedule.
 
* Tony Pedregon, el piloto de ŒQ¹ Racing, participará este fin de semana en
el noveno campeonato anual de los Sears Craftsman NHRA Nationals. El campeón
de Funny Car del 2003 y su auto ŒQ¹ Racing Nitro Funny Car se dirigen al
Gateway International Raceway para competir en la 12ava carrera de la NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing Series.

* The Gateway International Raceway is situated right across the river from
St. Louis, Mo. Because of the usually hot and high humidity conditions along
the Mississippi, NHRA schedules an all night racing weekend, including race
day. Pedregon won the event in 2001, was runner up in ¹99, and in 2003 he
made it to the semifinals. He¹s also qualified in the top-half of the field
in five of his seven visits.

*  Moving into the second half of the season, the ŒQ¹ Racing team focus is
to achieve more consistency, put four solid runs together and win some
races.

*  ³The ŒQ¹ car is performing very well,² Pedregon said. ³Dickie (Venables,
crew chief) and Kurt (Elliot, assistant crew chief) are doing a great job at
tuning the car. We put in many solid runs during qualifying, we just need to
hold the momentum with a little more focus on race day.²

* So far this year, Pedregon has qualified in the number one position in
Pomona, Calif. and Chandler, Ariz. He also broke the elapsed-time record at
Pomona Raceway with a 4.681-second pass at 323.35mph. In Chandler, Ariz.,
Pedregon broke Firebird International Raceway¹s elapsed time record at 4.703
seconds. Pedregon heads to Gateway International Raceway tenth in POWERade
Funny Car points with 492.
 
* Este año, hasta el momento, Pedregon se ha clasificado en la posición
número uno en Pomona 1, Calif. y Chandler, Ariz. También ha batido el récord
de tiempo en el Pomona Raceway con 4.681segundos a 323.35 mph. Y el del
