Jiffy Lube(R) Hearts on Wheels Contest Recognizes Drivers' Community Contributions
HOUSTON, June 22 -- How do you use your vehicle? Do you drive an elderly neighbor to tackle weekly errands or have you organized a highway clean-up effort?
As part of its commitment to improve the communities in which it operates, Jiffy Lube International is accepting entries for the Jiffy Lube(R) Hearts on Wheels contest. The contest will reward an individual who relies on his or her vehicle to make a positive contribution to the community. The contest winner will receive a 20-year supply of Jiffy Lube Signature Service(R) oil changes and an automotive care package to keep his or her "heart on wheels" for years to come. Additionally, the winner will receive a trip to New York City.
Acclaimed automotive expert Lauren Fix, a.k.a. the Car Coach(R), is helping Jiffy Lube launch its national search. "We're looking for the unsung heroes whose commitments to helping others improve our communities every day," Fix said. "Most people do not recognize the importance of preventive maintenance. That's why the commitment Jiffy Lube demonstrates by providing these individuals the services and resources they need is so important. Through Hearts on Wheels, Jiffy Lube will help good people continue to do good work for their community."
To enter the Hearts on Wheels contest, participants must describe, in no more than 500 words, how they use their vehicle to benefit others in their community. Entries will be accepted now through August 19, 2005 and must be accompanied by supporting materials such as photographs, letters of gratitude or news articles.
