The IEE Seat Belt Reminder sensor in conjunction with a seat belt buckle switch triggers a warning light and an audible signal reminding the seat occupant to fasten his or her seat belt. The IEE Seat Belt Reminder consists of a sensor mat made of two sandwiched carrier sheets held together by an adhesive. Increased pressure on the sensor mat causes a decrease in electrical resistance of the cells thus activating the activating the seat belt reminder sensor. A signal is transmitted that the seat is occupied.
