Toyota's New Fuel Cell Hybrid Passenger Vehicle Acquires Vehicle Type Certification from Japanese Government
Tokyo (JCNN) - Toyota Motor announced on June 17 that the recently improved TOYOTA FCHV, Toyota's fuel cell hybrid passenger vehicle, has become the first vehicle in Japan to acquire vehicle type certification under the amended Road Vehicle Act from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
This new car features more storage of hydrogen, an expanded cruising range, extended duration of tank and increased motor output than the existing model.
The vehicle is available for lease at 1.05 million yen ($9,600) per month, beginning on July 1.
