SWANSON LEADS WESTERN SPRINTS TO STOCKTON SATURDAY

JUNE 20, 2005

Kody Swanson of Emmett, Idaho, whose father Mike was USAC's
1986 Idaho Supermodified Champion, leads the USAC Valvoline Western Sprint
Car Series to Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway for this Saturday night's USAC
Open Wheel "Triple Crown Round #1."

Swanson, who scored his initial series victory June 4 at
Roseburg, Ore., leads defending series champion Tony Hunt by 19 points. Tim
Barber and Brad Bumgarner trail closely in the standings entering the
Stockton program, which concludes with a 50-lap Sprint car feature.

paved oval.

The USAC California Ford Focus Pavement Midgets are also on
