Prolong Teams Up With Japanese Retailers

Home Stores Give Nod to Prolong Products

IRVINE, Calif., June 20 -- Prolong International Corporation (AMEX:PRL) (http:/www.prolong.com), a technology driven holding company and parent of Prolong Super Lubricants, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of high tech, cost-saving, consumer, commercial and industrial products, is very pleased to announce that two separate major home improvement chains in Japan are actively marketing and selling Prolong Engine Treatment and Fuel System Treatment in their stores.

Patented Prolong(R) Engine Treatment and Prolong Fuel System Treatment are now on shelf at 85 Super VIVAHOME stores owned by Tostem Viva Corporation www2.vivahome.co.jp and at 187 NAFCO home centers www.nafco.tv/corporate/english/index.html packaged for the Japanese marketplace and merchandised in special, highly visible store displays. The schedule for expanded retail distribution is well under way. Both Prolong products are instrumental in optimizing vehicle operating efficiency and fuel economy while helping to reduce emissions, benefits highly sought after in Japan whose residents often experience extremely congested driving conditions and exorbitant fuel prices.

"Our partnerships with VIVAHOME and NAFCO and presence in their stores is really an endorsement of Prolong and its cost saving products. There is more than significant potential for the sale of Prolong products to Japanese consumers and businesses. With their collective distribution reach, Prolong has achieved another major step in the expansion of its international sales strategy," confirms Jeff Victer, Director International Sales.

"NAFCO and VIVAHOME have been instrumental in the introduction of our flagship products to Japanese consumers. Our products are being well-received and as their merits are realized and promoted through advertising and word-of-mouth, we have exciting potential to expand the product line and consumer sales in Japan, one of the largest car-care markets in the world," added Lawrence Kahn, Prolong's VP of Marketing.

Prolong's expansion into the Japanese market is through its distribution agreement with the Pacific Merchandising Division of long-standing Mutual Trading Co., Inc., well-versed in the successful overseas sale and shipping of food, housewares and automotive supplies to various international destinations. Prolong also currently has distribution partners in Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa and the United Kingdom and is actively seeking well established international trading partners.
