June 25 Show Will Feature Four NASCAR Divisions & Figure 8 Cars


Irwindale, Calif.- -  (June 20, 2005)  Irwindale Speedway Vice President Bob DeFazio this morning announced that all tickets for the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis will be honored by Irwindale Speedway for admission to the Dodge Weekly NASCAR Races this Saturday night. 

“We know that a lot of Southern California racing fans who went to Indy this past weekend for the Formula One race didn't really get their money's worth.  We want to invite them out to here this Saturday night to experience some terrific close-up racing at Irwindale Speedway.”

“We've got four action-packed oval track races plus a Figure-8 race on Saturday night,”  DeFazio added,  “…And we want all of our Formula One friends to get a look at some real competition at a great Saturday Night NASCAR Short Track race!”

Saturday night's line up on Irwindale's wide and high-banked half-mile includes the fast and fabulous Lucas Oil Products Super Late Models, the Vista Paint Super Stocks, the Dodge Super Trucks, and the West Coast Pro Trucks.  In addition, the wild and wonderful Pick Your Part Figure 8 cars will be on the criss-cross course getting the crowd on its feet early and often.

“America's Formula One fans surely deserve to see a great, competitive car race every once in a while,”  said DeFazio.  “I hope that other short tracks across the country will join us in inviting these fans out to their tracks this weekend by honoring their USGP tickets.  We're ready to show them a good time here!” 

In order to take advantage of this offer, fans only need to turn in their USGP tickets at the track box office prior to Saturday night's event.  The Irwindale Speedway box office is open from 9AM to 5PM - Tuesday through Friday and at noon on Saturday (race day).

The fan gates open at 4PM and the up-close-and-personal (and so much fun for “kids” of all ages) King Taco On-Track Autograph Party begins at 5:45PM.  

Racing starts on the dot at 7PM.
