Celadon Trucking Services Selects SiriCOMM for Fleet Terminal Wireless Internet Access

Truck Fleet to Install SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spot

INDIANAPOLIS, June 20 -- SiriCOMM, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: SIRC) , an applications service provider and nationwide broadband wireless network operator serving the highway transportation industry, today announced that Celadon Trucking Services, a division of Celadon Group , will install a SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spot at its Indianapolis truck terminal. Celadon drivers will then be invited to subscribe to InTouch, SiriCOMM's wireless Internet access service.

"Celadon is continually on the lookout for new technologies and services that help put our drivers on the road to success. After evaluating SiriCOMM, we determined that our drivers would realize many benefits from using their service and our recruiters would have a new tool for attracting quality drivers," commented J. Michael Gabbei, chief information officer. "We are pleased to work with providers such as SiriCOMM that are implementing new technologies focused on improving a driver's life on the road."

InTouch subscribers have always-on wireless access to the Internet anytime they are in a SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spot. InTouch gives truck drivers a convenient communication tool for both personal and business use while on the road. Connecting to a fleet intranet, the ability to send and receive email, having access to traveler information such as weather and trip routing, or enjoying entertainment are a few examples of how wireless Internet access makes a truck driver's job more efficient and enjoyable.

"We want to help truck fleets realize the many benefits of having connected drivers," said David Mendez, executive vice president of sales and marketing for SiriCOMM. "SiriCOMM's goal is to help truck fleets to reduce operating cost, improve productivity, enhance safety and increase security. Connecting drivers to the fleet's back-office operations is the first step in the process. We will work closely with Celadon following the installation to help them fully utilize our network."

The network at Celadon's terminal will be added to the growing list of SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spots. Presently, SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spots are installed at 255 Pilot Travel Centers nationwide as well as independently operated travel centers, truck fleet terminals, and select roadside weigh stations that feature PrePass.

Mendez continued by saying, "SiriCOMM plans to install our service at locations convenient to truck drivers. Making our hot spots available at trucking company's terminals, like Celadon, is a natural extension of our nationwide network of SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spots."

SiriCOMM plans to continue installing hot spots, focusing on high-traffic locations frequented by truck drivers and other industry stakeholders.
