ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (June 14, 2005) –

• Tony Pedregon, the Q Racing driver, will participate this weekend in the
36th annual K&N Filters SuperNationals. The 2003 Funny Car champion and his
Q Racing Nitro Funny Car head to Old Bridge Township Raceway Park for the
11th race of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series schedule.

• Tony Pedregon, el piloto de ‘Q’ Racing, participará este fin de semana en
el 36avo campeonato anual de los K&N Filters SuperNationals. El campeón de
Funny Car del 2003 y su auto ‘Q’ Racing Nitro Funny Car se dirigen al Old
Bridge Township Raceway Park para competir en la 11ava carrera de la NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing Series.

• The Garden State strip has been generous to Pedregon during qualifying as
he has earned top-qualifier awards in 1996, ’99, ’01, ’02 and ’03. In 2001,
Pedregon won it all taking that year’s victory as well. He also holds the
track elapsed time record at 4.760 seconds established in 2003.

• La pista del Garden State ha sido generosa con Pedregon durante las
calificatorias ya que ha conseguido clasificarse en primera posición en
1996, ’99, ’01, ’02 y ’03. En el 2001, Pedregon lo ganó todo llevándose la

• The experienced driver knows that qualifying is the first step towards
winning.
“It is important to qualify well at every event,” said Pedregon. “You want
to be in the top-half of the field for lane choice on race day. The
competition is always tough no matter where you qualify, but I believe there
is some slight advantage in qualifying close to the top.
“Our first goal every week is to put the car in the show. Once we’ve done
that, then we can focus on winning. If you don’t qualify, it doesn’t matter
who you are, you can’t win.”

• Este veterano piloto sabe que el clasificarse es el primer paso que hay

“Es importarse clasificarse en buen lugar en cada carrera”, dijo Pedregon.

vez de que llegas ahí, te puedes centrar en ganar. Si no te calificas, seas
quien seas, no puedes ganar”.

• Pedregon, Dickie Venables –crew chief- and the rest of the ‘Q’ racing team
are working hard this season to achieve consistency and performance, the key
to taking the car to the winner’s circle.
“The whole team is doing outstanding work, including ‘Q’. With their new
race oil, our engines are in the best shape they’ve ever been in after a
tear down. Our horsepower is up as well, which is essential for us in time
and performance. The crew is running data from two cars every race, working
every part of this. I believe we’re very close to have all this effort pay
off.”

• Pedregon, Dickie Venables –jefe de escudería- y el resto del equipo de ‘Q’

• So far this year, Pedregon has qualified in the number one position in
Pomona, Calif. and Chandler, Ariz. He also broke the elapsed-time record at
Pomona Raceway with a 4.681-second pass at 323.35mph. In Chandler, Ariz.,
Pedregon broke Firebird International Raceway’s elapsed time record at 4.703
seconds. Pedregon heads to Old Bridge Township Raceway Park ninth in
POWERade Funny Car points with 459.

• Este año, hasta el momento, Pedregon se ha clasificado en la posición
número uno en Pomona 1, Calif. y Chandler, Ariz. También ha batido el récord
de tiempo en el Pomona Raceway con 4.681 segundos a 323.35 mph. Y el del
