Nissan Commences Operations of India Subsidiary

Tokyo (JCNN) - On June 16, Nissan officially started operations of Nissan Motor India Private, Ltd.(NMIPL), its wholly owned subsidiary in Mumbai, India.

NMIPL is responsible for the importation of Nissan vehicles and spare parts, as well as sales, marketing, distribution and aftersales support of Nissan products in India.

Since its foray to the Indian market in 2004, Nissan vehicle sales have grown steadily. By launching operations at NMIPL, Nissan aims to strengthen its presence in the Indian market.
