CORRECTION
Paragraph #7 should read:
amputate Ken's left leg above the knee.

After a long uncomfortable weekend during which doctors continued to
fight unwanted infections, upon advice and recommendations from the
doctors and much soul searching, Ken and his wife Kassi made a decision
to allow the doctors to amputate Ken's left leg above the knee. This
will allow Ken to recuperate at a much quicker pace and will also have
him back doing the things he loves in the near future, while leading a

36TH ANNUAL NHRA K&N FILTERS SUPERNATIONALS

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (June 15, 2005) - Chip Ellis, who rode the G
Squared/S&S Buell to victory last weekend at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet,
Ill., looks to repeat at Englishtown.

"We stayed and tested in Chicago on Monday and we figured out a few
things that were going on with the bike and that will help us in
Englishtown," said Ellis, as he prepared the Buell for the NHRA K&N
Filters SuperNationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in
Englishtown, N.J. "Winning the race was a real confidence builder for
this team, especially in the absence of Ken Johnson. We're going to
work real hard to bring him one from Englishtown."

Ellis feels that most everybody that races Pro Stock Motorcycle on the
NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series is a threat to win and he isn't taking
anybody lightly.

"The Suzukis of the Army team are always tough and Matt Smith showed
that he has something for everybody last weekend. The Harleys of Hines
and Tonglet are going to rebound, you can bet on that. Also, you can
bet the three other S&S-powered Buells aren't going to cut us any
slack. If you make it into the field, you have a chance of winning.
This Pro Stock Motorcycle class is that close," added Ellis.

The "Wally," emblematic of the win at the CARQUEST Auto Parts Nationals
was presented to Ken Johnson on Tuesday. Jackie Bryce related that when
they presented Ken the trophy that he was still in a great deal of pain
and sedated but was real excited. He took the trophy and looked at it
and said it was really cool. She also gave him a hat that everybody
signed and he smiled real big.

Jackie also said they talked about what was next and the news is not
good. Ken is scheduled to undergo surgery today to have his left leg
amputated. The leg and knee was seriously injured in a non-race related
accident on June 4.

After a long uncomfortable weekend during which doctors continued to
fight unwanted infections, upon advice and recommendations from the
doctors and much soul searching, Ken and his wife Kassi made a decision
to allow the doctors to amputate Ken's left leg above the knee. This
will allow Ken to recuperate at a much quicker pace and will also have
him back doing the things he loves in the near future, while leading a
near-normal life.

Having spent a year working with double amputee Reggie Showers and the
PDI Pro Stock Motorcycle team, which was sponsored by Prosthetic Design,
Inc., Ken is well aware of the challenges he faces and is looking
forward to overcoming them. Reggie called Ken last night and Ken told
him because of what he saw Reggie accomplish, he is not scared about his
future.

A fund will soon be set up for financial donations to help to defray
Ken's continuing medical expenses. The public will be notified as soon
as this fund is established. In the meantime, for those desiring to
make immediate donations, those donations can be sent to: Ken Johnson,
c/o Star Racing, P.O. Box 1241, Americus, GA 31709.

Finally, a "We Need Ken Back at the Track" fund raiser is in the
planning stages. Details will be released as soon as they become available.

Ken is a twenty-plus year employee of Star Racing, owned by George and
Jackie Bryce. He currently is crew chief on the G Squared/S&S Buell,
driven by Chip Ellis in the Pro Stock Motorcycle class on the NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing Series. G Squared Motorsports was formed in 2003
and is owned by George Bryce and George Smith.
