Vandamonium and Trail Motors Super Sportsman Headlines SSP on Sunday


NEWBERRYTOWN, PA  (June  14, 2005)  – This Sunday night, June 19, the 
Susquehanna Speedway Park  will feature the third round of  the Trail Motors Super 
Sportsman Series paying $1,000 to the winner on Father’s  Day.  This is the 
second show of the week  at SSP along with the Thursday night, June 16 show.  Each 
Trail  Motors Super Sportsman feature will qualify 24 starters for the 
regular 20-lap  events.  Also featured for the first  time ever is Vandamonium on 
Father’s Day paying $200 to the winner.  This will be Mini Van racing presented  
by York Haven Auto Sales.  Also on  the card will be the Street Stocks and 
two features for the Legends Cars that  includes a make-up event from May 19.  
This is a great way to treat your father to a night of fun and  entertainment.  
The Super  Sportsman at SSP culminates with the Inaugural 75-lap Trail Motors 
Championship  on Sunday, September 4, paying $2,500 to the winner.  For the 
championship race, there will be  12 automatic qualifiers for the event 
determined by the winners of the following  events: 1) Silver Spring (Sat., May 28 – 
Craig Morrow); 2) SSP (Sun., May  29 – Russ Mitten); 3) SSP (Sun., June 5 – 
Dave Calaman); 4) Port  Royal (Sat., June 15); 5) SSP (Sun., June 19); 6) 
Williams Grove (Fri., June  24); 7) Silver Spring (Sat., July 2); 8) SSP (Sun., 
July 3); 9) Lincoln (Wed.,  July 20); 10) SSP (Sun., July 24); 11) SSP (Sun., 
Aug. 7); 12) SSP (Sun., Aug.  21).  The remainder of the field for  the 
championship will qualify through heats and a last chance race.  All Trail  Motors 
Super Sportsman Series events at SSP will require the use of Hoosier  Tires on all 
four corners with a Hoosier 105/18-15 plated (HTMA or HTE) right  rear spec 
tire.   
Gates open in the  pit area and grandstands at 5:00  p.m.  Warmups begin at 
7:00  p.m. with racing  beginning promptly at 7:30  p.m.  Grandstand  ticket 
prices are Adults (18 & older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children  (6-12) 
$4.00; and Children (5 & under) are free.  Pit pass prices are  $20.00.  The  
raindate for this  event is Sunday, June 12 with the same time schedule.   
SSP  continues its Repeat Fan Discount in which there will be a $2.00 
discount for  each person with a ticket stub from the June 5 or June 16 events only.  
For example, $2.00 off an Adult ticket  for June 19 with and Adult ticket 
stub from the June 5 or June 16  events.  Returning fans are encouraged to write  
their name, address and phone number on the back of the stub to be entered 
into  special drawings to be held during the season for great prizes.  Last 
season, the grand prize was two  tickets to the NASCAR race in October at the Lowe’
s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North  Carolina.   
The Susquehanna Speedway Park  is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles
