Chicago's Hands-Free Legislation Calls for Parrot's Easydrive; Drivers Scramble for Hands-Free Compliance Options

NEW YORK--June 15, 2005--With new legislation requiring Chicago drivers to use hands-free devices while talking on the phone, drivers are scrambling to find the best hands-free accessories before the law takes effect in July.

Parrot, the world leader in development of Bluetooth(R) car kits, offers a variety of hands-free solutions, including the new portable Easydrive, which simply plugs into any vehicles' cigarette lighter and automatically syncs with your Bluetooth-enabled phone. With Easydrive, there's no headset. The microphone and speaker are built into the portable Plug & Play unit. Easydrive is compatible with most Bluetooth phones regardless or manufacturer or carrier.

Your phone can be on the back seat, on the bottom of your purse or in your jacket pocket. Voice activation and voice recognition features allow you to use the functions of your phone. Make calls, receive calls, check voicemail and access your phone's address book ... all without touching your phone.

"Easydrive is a convenient, affordable hands-free option for drivers who need to comply with the new law," said Christophe Dissaux, Executive Vice President of Parrot, Inc.

Other Parrot products include professionally installed car kits that automatically mute your car radio or CD player and use your speakers for your phone's audio. The CK3000 is the basic low-cost installed Bluetooth car kit, CK3100 includes and easy-to-read LCD with caller ID, and the CK3300 integrates GPS navigation. Parrot products are available online at palmOne.com, amazon.com, through various retailers or through NiceStuff at 954-929-2524.
