CommProve Announces Expansion in AsiaPac; OSS Provider Set to Service Needs of Critical Asian Market
BANGALORE, India--June 14, 2005--Providers of real-time network quality of service (QoS) monitoring solutions CommProve (formerly Simtel), has announced it is to expand internationally by opening a new office in Bangalore, India. The new Bangalore base will be under the management of Venu Gopal, who joins CommProve from Aeroflex Test Solutions India, as AsiaPac Sales Director. Venu has an exceptional understanding of the Asian markets, having worked for leading technology players including AT&T, Intel, UbiNetics and ALJ Group for the past 16 years.
"The fantastic pace of growth is seeing the major operators across Asia deploying new services and technologies quite aggressively," commented Gopal. "CommProve therefore has a critical role to play in helping operators deliver enhanced Quality of Service, through real-time network monitoring, providing the highest level of service for highly demanding subscribers."
Already a dominant force in Europe and Latin America, CommProve currently provides comprehensive network monitoring services for a range of large mobile operators - most notably TIM. Focusing on the importance of optimal content delivery and radio quality across wireless networks, CommProve will target operators throughout the AsiaPac region and highlight the vast revenues that can be leaked by poorly performing networks.
Central to CommProve's strategy will be the shift from artificial information-based network monitoring services such as drive tests, to the real time, 24x7 results required by operators in their quest for optimal network quality. The rise of SPIT, SMS SPAM and adult content are all current concerns for European operators and such threats will soon escalate across Asia and other emerging markets.
"Network quality of service is a key issue for all network operators within emerging markets," said CommProve's CEO Ali Pourtaheri. "The AsiaPac region is experiencing significant growth in GSM coverage and is a key player in the global wireless market. It is vital that the region's operators provide their subscribers with the best possible quality of service and ensure the successful delivery of multimedia services."
Pourtaheri added: "We're keen to share our proven communications experience with operators across the region and deliver proven results using real-time and relevant data to create tangible, measurable improvements, and rapid ROI."
