Association Recognizes G.I. Trucking Performance in Industrial and Highway Safety
BREA, Calif.--June 13, 2005--The Utah Trucking Association has honored G.I. Trucking Company with two of its most prestigious safety awards for 2004.The company took First Place in Industrial Safety in the General Commodities category for transportation firms with less than 170 employees in the state. The other honor was the Great West Safety Award for Outstanding Achievement in Highway Safety for less than truckload (LTL) carriers in the less than 3 million annual mile category also within the state.
"We are very pleased that the Utah Trucking Association has recognized our efforts at providing safety focused services along with our emphasis on meeting customer transportation needs," noted Stan Lovell, Vice President, Safety and Maintenance for G.I. Trucking.
The company's major terminal/service center in Salt Lake City annually handles approximately 200,000 inbound and outbound shipments for its Utah customers.
