JUNE 13, 2005

Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. has had an unbelievable
run of qualifying this season in the Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series.
Saturday night he posted his 12th FQ in 14 tries this year, at Perris Auto
Speedway. He's a runaway train in the 2005 Earl's Fast Qualifier standings,
with a 75-point lead!

Other top Earl's points earners last week included Dave
Steele (National Sprints at Indianapolis Raceway Park), Mike Murgoitio
(Western Sprints at Eureka, Calif.), Wally Pankratz (Western Midgets at
Ventura, Calif.), Benny Moon (California Focuses at Stockton), Tate Martz
(Midwest Focuses at Kalamazoo, Mich.) and Chase Scott (Focuses at Stanley,
N.C.)

Earl's points will be up for grabs this week in events at
Lima and Rossburg, Ohio (National Sprints and Midgets), Santa Maria, Calif.
(CRA Sprints and Western Midgets), plus Hickory, N.C., Tulsa, Okla.,
Seekonk, Mass. and Stockton, Calif. (Ford Focuses).

Points are awarded at each USAC event based on an
international system awarding the top-six qualifiers with points in the
following scale: 1st-9, 2nd-6, 3rd-4, 4th-3, 5th-2, 6th-1. When qualifying
is not held, points are awarded based on a system of lineup points earned
in the preliminary heats.

Each USAC National, Western and Ford Focus Midget Car
Earl's Plumbing FQ Champion will be honored at USAC's Champions Night
ceremony in Indianapolis. The National and Western FQ champs will receive
$5,000 each, while the Ford Focus FQ champs will each receive $1,000.
