Rosta International to Build China Factory
* $100 Million Facility will Support Expansion into U.S. and Europe
TAIPEI, Taiwan, June 13 -- Rosta International Limited (Rosta), a leading China-based manufacturer of steel and aluminum wheels for the automotive original equipment and aftermarket industries, announced today that it is investing $100 million (U.S.) in a new aluminum wheel plant in Suzhou, China. The facility, with proximity to Shanghai, will further expand Rosta's capacity in China, and support its global expansion effort. Rosta currently has operations in Fuzhou, China, and has announced it will open sales and engineering facility in the United States.
The new Suzhou facility will use the latest highly automated aluminum wheel production equipment and processes to produce high quality products at competitive prices. The estimated capacity of the new plant will be approximately five million aluminum wheels, with all of that capacity targeted for export to the U.S. and Europe. Production is expected to begin at the end of 2005.
