Harman International Industries, Inc. Announces New Awards

WASHINGTON--June 7, 2005--Harman International Industries, Inc. today announced two new infotainment awards.

One award is for an entry-level entertainment system for Chrysler which integrates AM-FM, DVD, rear seat video, backup camera and hard disc drive with jukebox music management functions. Management expects the award to generate annual revenue of approximately $200 million, beginning in Fiscal 2008.

The Company has been informed by Audi that it is receiving virtually all Audi Infotainment System business, beginning in Fiscal 2008 and extending through Fiscal 2012. The new awards are additional to those previously issued for the period ending Fiscal 2008 and serving Audi A6 and A8 only. The new systems cut new ground with respect to features and performance and serve the A3, A4, A6 and A8 platforms. This a significant development. Management expects the Audi awards to generate annual revenue in excess of $350 million beginning in Fiscal 2008.
