Visteon Recognizes Outstanding Suppliers For Contributions to Value-Based Supply Chain
Freescale Semiconductor named Global Visteon Important Partner of the Year
VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., June 2 -- Visteon Corporation recognized 18 "Best In Class" suppliers at its annual Visteon Important Partner (VIP) awards program today at Visteon Village in Van Buren Township, Mich. Visteon named Freescale Semiconductor as Global Visteon Important Partner of the Year.

The annual awards program recognized suppliers exemplifying "Best in Class" performance and going "above and beyond" to meet Visteon's needs and expectations. Selection criteria focused on supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, value, technical capability and customer service. Supplier awards were granted for the following areas: metals, non-metals, electronics, non-production goods and services, transportation and exemplary minority supplier in North America.
VIP award nominees undergo a thorough review of their performance and business contributions by a global cross-functional Visteon team, with inputs from manufacturing, product development, supplier quality, customer business groups and purchasing. Award recipients must achieve 100 percent concurrence across all customer functions and operating regions to confirm that they have demonstrated the high level of performance that Visteon promotes within its supply base.
From among the VIP award winners, Freescale Semiconductor was selected as the Global Visteon Important Partner of the Year. Freescale Semiconductor earned the award based on an assessment of all the category winners and their levels of achievement in delivering business results, efficiency throughout the supply chain, application of lean principles from information flow to product flow and efforts to help maximize the leveraging of resources and expertise throughout the supply chain.
