Marcos Engineering Signs Yelmer Buurman as Test Driver

KENILWORTH, England, June 1 --

- 18 Year Old British Formula Renault Contender to Run Testing and Evaluation Programs

Marcos Engineering Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Yelmer Buurman to Test and Evaluation Driver. Yelmer brings to Marcos over 8 years of racing and karting experience -- including the Dutch Karting Championship. Yelmer is contending for the British Formula Renault Championship this year with Team Fortec, and is proudly sponsored by Marcos Engineering. Team Fortec has been the starting point for many successful race drivers including Marcos Ambrose, Heikki Kovalainen and Juan Pablo Montoya.

At Marcos Yelmer will work closely with Engineering to provide vital real time feedback on the handling and performance of the company's roadcars. Testing will take place at Marcos' test track in the Midlands, on various British race circuits and on a wide variety of British roads.

Yelmer was the 2000 Dutch Karting Champion and has celebrated many podium finishes including the 2004 Dutch Formula Renault Championship, 2003 English Winter Championship, 20003 Formula 2000 Championship and 2002 BMW Compact Business Cup.

Marcos is a leading developer of high performance sports cars and recently announced the 400 HP TSO GT in South Australia at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide motor race.
