MotorSports Emporium Congratulates Herta, Wheldon and the Andretti/Green Team
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--May 3, 20051, 2005--MotorSports Emporium, Inc. (OTCBB:MSEP) congratulates Bryan Herta and Dan Wheldon, of the Andretti/Green team, for their remarkable performance at Sunday's 89th running of the Indianapolis 500.David Keaveney, President and CEO of MSEP said, "Michael Andretti will take many memories home from this year's Indianapolis 500. Tony Kanaan secured pole, Bryan Herta finishes 3rd and Dan Wheldon drives to Victory Lane."
Keaveney continued, "Wheldon and Herta both started in row 6 (positions 16 and 18 respectfully). Throughout the race Wheldon aggressively fought his way through traffic while Herta couldn't get a break until the last 30 laps when the entire field got reshuffled. With 10 laps remaining every spectator was brought to their feet cheering for rookie female driver Danika Patrick. Danika's car lost power inside 5 laps to the finish which played favorable to Wheldon and Herta. Danika finished fourth and was written in the history books as the only female to lead a lap at the Indianapolis 500. I believe she lead 19. Danika's fourth place finish was the highest by any female driver since 1979 when Janet Guthrie placed 9th."
Danika Patrick helped ABC generate the best TV ratings for the Indianapolis 500 in nearly a decade, up 40% from last year and the highest Sunday rating for the Indianapolis 500 since 1996.
"The Andretti/Green team is dominating the IndyCar(R) Series with Dan Wheldon leading the series, Tony Kanaan second and Herta in fourth. This weekend's race was very exciting for all who participated. MotorSports Emporium couldn't have asked for a better performance from Herta."
