Orbitz Lets Customers Take to the Open Road With Harley-Davidson Rentals

CHICAGO, May 31, 2005 -- Orbitz, the site that makes travel planning faster and easier, today announced it is offering travelers access to the open road with the unmistakable sound and feel of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Orbitz customers can now rent the legendary American-made motorcycles when booking air, hotel and vacation packages to popular destinations around the country.

"With millions of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts worldwide, this is a great addition to our travel offerings," said Alan Josephs, vice president of packaging at Orbitz. "Whether touring the West Coast on Hwy 1 or cruising down the Las Vegas strip in style, Orbitz customers can experience the sport that Harley-Davidson riders have been passionate about for decades."

The motorcycle rentals are available through a partnership with EagleRider, the world's largest motorcycle rental and tour company. Orbitz customers have access to bikes in 24 cities, including great riding destinations such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Palm Springs, Fresno, Las Vegas, Chicago, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, Knoxville, Dallas, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, St. Louis and Washington, D.C.

Orbitz customers can choose from all of the popular Harley-Davidson models including Electra Glide, Road King, Heritage Softail, Dyna Wide Glyde and Fat Boy.

"We're excited to partner with Orbitz to offer Harley-Davidson rentals to such a broad audience of travelers," said Chris McIntyre, president of EagleRider. "Not only are current Harley enthusiasts going to be thrilled at the opportunity to book their favorite bike as part of a vacation package, but travelers who have always wanted to ride a Harley are now afforded the opportunity to experience the excitement as well."

Harley-Davidson rentals on Orbitz include the rental of the motorcycle with unlimited miles, helmets for the driver and passengers, customer orientation, on-site storage for client luggage and valuables, and a self-drive route map that highlights the most scenic back roads. All drivers must possess a valid driver's license that qualifies him/her to operate a motorcycle in the country of origin. Full terms and conditions are available on Orbitz.com.

For added convenience and a true one-stop-shopping experience, Orbitz offers travelers the ability to book hundreds of attractions and services on the site, from theme park passes and sightseeing tours to ground transportation and museum tickets.
