Morad, de Heus, Boam and Herder take wins
SUTTON, ONTARIO The second round of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting
Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels was held at 3-S Go Karts in
Sutton, Ontario. First Kart's Daniel Morad continued his win streak by
taking the Formula Senior win, while Aaron de Heus took Canada Senior.
First time winner Zach Boam won World Formula Senior and Kyle Herder won
Rotax Max Senior.
Formula Senior
Cameron Motorsports CRG driver Robert Wickens took the Pfaff Fast Qualifier
Award for the headline class. Behind him was First Kart, and round one
winner, Daniel Morad. Third in qualifying was 3-S Birel driver Juliana
Chiovitti. At the start, Morad took the lead, and held until two laps to
go. Wickens made a pass, but Morad countered to retake the lead. This
happened not once but twice on the same lap. Morad defended on the final
lap to take the win ahead of Wickens and First Kart's Trevor Daley.
Canada Senior
Gold Kart's Aaron de Heus took the Pfaff Fast Qualifier pole award, and
went on to win after a fierce battle with Gold Kart teammate Pearce Herder.
CMP's Frank Launi was third.
World Formula Senior
Gold Kart's Chris Holman took the Pfaff Fast Qualifier pole award.
Hurricane's Zach Boam recorded his first SRFKC win when he won the World
Formula Senior race ahead of CMP's Adriano Bilotta and CRG's Corey Usher.
RotaxMax Senior
Gold Kart's Kyle Herder took the Pfaff Fast Qualifier pole award for Rotax
Max Senior. Herder comfortably led every lap to take his first win of the
year. Behind Herder came round one winner Marco Di Leo and CMP's Frank Launi.
