Vision Entertainment brings the 2005 XM Satellite Radio Hot Import Nights (HIN) tour to McCormick Place, June 11. The HIN show, presented by Valvoline Synpower, is the largest lifestyle custom car show in the nation. In addition to the hundreds of custom cars vying for prizes in several categories, Valvoline Synpower is bringing nationally syndicated and acclaimed radio host and recent debut rapper Big Tigger to the Chicago show to present a special $1,000 performance award. Also appearing will be Playboy's Miss June 2005 Kara Monaco and, in her first public appearance, Playboy's much-anticipated selection for Miss July 2005.
On Thursday night, June 9th, a special show preview will take place from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the McDonald's in Wrigleyville, featuring a guest appearance by renowned import tuner Jay Laub. Laub and McDonald's are giving a free sneak peek of some of Hot Import Nights' hottest customized cars at the Wrigleyville McDonald's restaurant located at 3620 North Clark. The preview will feature a live remote from Chicago's B96 FM, audience giveaways, an opportunity to meet Modified Magazine's top automotive editors as well as get autographs from Miss Hot Import Nights.
On Saturday, June 11 from 5 p.m. to midnight, show attendees will be treated to non-stop entertainment, including live music, multiple DJs, model and celebrity appearances and the nation's top car designers displaying the latest in custom car trends. In addition to the featured Playboy Playmates, 2005 Stuff Calendar Cover model Lisa Gleave and Miss HIN USA Ursula Mayes, one of the former Maxim Hometown Hottie top 5 finalists, will attend autograph signings at the Modified M Lounge throughout the night. HIN costs $25 for general admission and $55 to enter the car competition.
In select markets, including Chicago, HIN attendees can test their video gaming skills at GameRiot, an intense competition where gaming enthusiasts win cash prizes, and, at certain stops, go head-to-head against some of the best professional gamers in the world. Games include new and unreleased console and PC video game titles like Area 51(R), Unreal Championship(R)2; The Liandri Conflict(TM) from Midway and Star Wars Republic Commando(TM) from LucasArts.
XM Satellite Radio Hot Import Nights (HIN) 2005 has proven itself to be the largest lifestyle custom car festival in the nation. The '05 tour delivers the most diverse collection of vehicles of any car show series - including the best in Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, Audi, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini. And of course, the coolest drift, drag and show cars the sport compact scene has to offer. The Chicago Show's new VIP section will feature many high-end custom cars including Mercedes SLR McLaren, 2005 BMW 745Li, 2005 Range Rover, 2003 Mercedes SL55 "Carlsson" Edition, 2004 Mercedes SL55, 2003 Mercedes CL55, 2004 Cadillac Escalade, 2004 BMW M3 and 2005 BMW 645Ci convertible.
HIN 2005 also has featured more celebrity cars than ever before. Past shows have included Paris Hilton's Bentley GT and pink Mercedes, Brooke Burke's Hummer H2, 50 Cent's Hummer H2, Xzibit's Chrysler 300M, Grant Hill's Bentley GT, DeShawn Stevenson's Dodge Magnum, Brian Dawkins' 645 BMW convertible and Shaq's Rolls Royce Phantom to name a few.
Other highlights included celebrity appearances from Brooke Burke, the sexy host of several E! Entertainment Television shows and recent Stuff cover girl, hip-hop artist and reality show star of "The Surreal Life" Flava Flav, members of the musical group the Black Eyed Peas and more.
In addition to the car show and celebrity appearances, HIN entertainment includes Moonshine Record's DJ MISS LISA performing live on the Mazda Electronic Music Stage with a procession from RAVI Drums, and more than 20 go-go dancers performing to the various sets of today's electronic music hits. The Mazda stage also hosts XM Radio's live set. Live on the Pepsi Stage, host DJ Lady Tribe spins hip-hop music while accompanied by local DJs. Also performing are local and national artists from the urban community, including dance troupe showcases, DJ performances and b-boy battles.
