DURA Automotive Receives Honda Quality Award

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.--May 2, 20055, 2005--

Award presented to DURA's Indiana facilities in Brownstown and Butler

DURA Automotive Systems, Inc. , announced today that it received the prestigious Quality Performance Award from Honda Motor Company in recognition of DURA's quality achievements during 2004. The award was presented to DURA's Brownstown and Butler, Ind., facilities. These plants manufacture spare tire carrier assemblies for the Honda MDX and Pilot SUVs, and jack assemblies for the Honda Accord sedan and the Ridgeline pickup truck.

The 68,000-square-foot Brownstown facility employs approximately 120 people and manufactures spare tire carriers. These cable-driven assemblies secure spare tires to the underside of vehicles, and allow tires to be raised and lowered. DURA is the exclusive North American supplier to Honda for this product line. The 140,000-square-foot Butler facility employs approximately 210 people and manufactures automotive jack and tool kit systems.

Both Brownstown and Butler have won multiple DURA internal awards for exceeding customers' quality and delivery requirements. Additionally, both facilities have earned DURA's President's Award, which is the company's top quality honor.
